Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 3-Speed Brushless Motor Impact Driver Kit (LXDT01).

The new LXDT01, the latest in a long line of innovation from Makita in the impacts category, has even more fastening power than the previous model, giving contractors unprecedented power, battery run time, ergonomics and versatility.
3-Speed Power Control and Brushless Motor Technology
The Makita-built brushless motor with 3-speed power selection offers soft, medium and hard impact power to cover a wide range of fastening tasks:
  • Soft impact setting: 0-1,300 RPM, 0-1,300 IPM, and 220 in.lbs. of Max Torque for small fasteners such as hinge screws for woodworking.
  • Medium impact setting: 0-2,000 RPM, 0-2,800 IPM, and 490 in.lbs. of Max Torque for medium sized fasteners such as drywall screws.
  • Hard impact setting: 0-2,600 RPM, 0-3,400 IPM and 1,460 in. lbs. of Max Torque for large fasteners such as lag bolts.
Consistent with all of Makita’s impact products, the proprietary hammer and anvil impact mechanism in the LXDT01 is manufactured using the best raw materials with the highest quality steel and unique heat hardening process for maximum fastening and driving power.
Makita’s Brushless Motor Technology delivers increased motor efficiency to provide up to 20% longer battery life per charge. With the motor’s more efficient power, the LXDT01 has a more compact design at just 5-1/2" in length and only 3.3 lbs. with an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery
Ergonomic and Ease-of-Use Features
The LXDT01 is engineered with ergonomic and ease-of-use features. The built-in L.E.D. light has an independent on/off switch to illuminate the work surface, when needed. In addition, a battery warning light and the built-in L.E.D. light both flash when it is time to recharge the battery. The LXDT01 has a "one-touch" ¼" hex chuck for simple bit insertion and a tool hook for increased efficiency. The ergonomic shape fits like a glove with even pressure and easy control.
Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Battery Technology
The new LXDT01 is powered by Makita’s 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery and the ENERGY STAR qualified Makita Rapid Optimum Charger. Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion battery delivers 3X more cycles, and the Rapid Optimum Charger will charge an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery in just 30 minutes for less downtime on the jobsite.
Engineered for a Wide Range of Applications
Due to their versatility, impact drivers are gaining broader acceptance for a wide range of fastening tasks. With its variable 3-speed power selection, brushless motor, and 1,460 in. lbs. of Max Torque, the LXDT01 is engineered for almost any fastening application, ranging from small cabinet screws to lag bolts and TEK screws. The LXDT01 is ideal for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, fencing/decking pro contractors, steel stud framers, woodworkers, finish carpenters, and general contractors seeking a best-in-class industrial quality 18V Lithium-Ion cordless impact driver.
Model LXDT01 is a kit that includes two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries, a 30-minute Rapid Optimum Charger, tool belt clip, and a tool case. The LXDT01Z includes the tool only.

About Makita’s 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Tool Series
As one of the pioneers driving the cordless tool revolution, Makita changed the game in 2005 with its industry’s first 18V Lithium-Ion line-up. Today, Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless Series has grown from seven to over 40 tools, providing a wide range of cordless solutions for professional tradesmen. Makita later added the industry’s 18V Compact Lithium-Ion battery for cordless power in a more compact size.
Makita's 18V Lithium-Ion batteries and ENERGY STAR qualified Rapid Optimum Charger provide several benefits over old battery technology. When compared to traditional 18V Ni-Cd batteries, Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have 40% less weight, longer run time, and five-times lower self-discharge to keep cells active and ready to use at any time. Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion battery delivers three-times more than Ni-Cd.
In addition, built-in shock absorbing features help protect the battery, and sixteen firm-holding contact terminals deliver constant high power. During the charging process, a built-in memory chip in the battery communicates with the Optimum Charger for a more efficient charge, extending the battery life. Makita’s Optimum Charger is also faster: it will charge an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery in just 30 minutes and an 18V Compact Lithium-Ion battery in only 15 minutes.
Makita also offers an Optimum Automotive Charger for 18V LXT and 18V Compact Lithium-Ion batteries, which plugs into 12V DC sockets equipped in most automobiles and trucks for added mobility.
Makita’s growing line of LXT cordless tool solutions features a wide range of industrial-quality power tools, including driver-drills, impact drivers, impact wrenches, saws, grinders, screwguns, rotary hammers, and more. The LXT Series also offers a jobsite radio, rechargeable flashlights, and several different combo kits.
Makita now offers 12V max Lithium-Ion for pro power and pro speed in an ultra-compact size. The battery charger for the 12V max Lithium-Ion batteries are ENERGY STAR qualified for its efficient charging performance. Makita’s growing line of ultra-compact cordless tool solutions includes driver-drills, impact drivers, an impact wrench and circular saw, as well as rechargeable flashlights, a vacuum, and several different combo kits. Makita also offers a 36V LXT Lithium-Ion cordless rotary hammer for faster drilling.
Makita LXT Lithium-Ion is backed by Makita’s new Three-Year Warranty which covers repair due to defective materials or workmanship up to three years from the purchase date.
